The cost of a college education is staggering.
Tuition costs, books, living expenses, travel, and other associated costs may be beyond the means of some of our Nevada firefighting families.

The Nevada State Firefighters' Association would like to extend an invitation to association members and their children to take advantage of our Scholarship Program.

The association provides four (4) to six (6) annual $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors of association members. The state association has granted over $100,000 worth of college scholarships since its inception several years ago.

Funding for the program is provided through the annual ticket sale and donations. Competitive ticket sales amongst departments promotes interest in the sales program and a revolving trophy provides tribute to the department which sells the most tickets.

The applicant must have maintained at least a 'C' average for five (5) semesters of high school work. Preference will be given to the student in the top fifty (50) percent of his/her class scholastically.
