NSFA Regional Training Symposium – Hawthorne, Nevada

The Nevada State Firefighters Association (NSFA) invites you to attend the NSFA Hawthorne Training Symposium, hosted by Mineral County Fire & EMS in Hawthorne, Nevada.

This two-day training event runs Friday and Saturday, November 6–7, 2026. It offers four classes: live fire, hazmat, wildfire, and fireground medicine. It is open to all Nevada fire and EMS personnel.

Registration
Per person. Includes both dinners.

  • $50 Early Registration for NSFA Members ($100 after October 17, 2026)
  • $75 Early General Registration ($125 after October 17, 2026)

Training Includes

  • Hazmat Incident Commander: state certified, 16 hours. You must attend both days to receive the certificate.
  • Car Burn Prop: hands-on live fire with the State Fire Marshal’s propane car burn prop, running all day both days. Before you train, you need an accountability form signed by your chief.
  • Wildfire Risk Assessment (4 hours): assess homes for wildfire risk and give owners recommendations that reduce risk for the whole community.
  • Medical Emergency on the Fire Ground (4 hours): approved for EMS CEU hours. Covers basic medical operations on the fire ground, including firefighter cardiac arrest management.

Lunch is on your own. No lunch is provided.

Both dinners are included with registration, with a cash bar both nights.
