The cost of a college education is staggering. Tuition costs, books, living expenses, travel, and other associated costs may be beyond the means of some of our Nevada firefighting families.
The Nevada State Firefighters’ Association would like to extend an invitation to Association members and their children to take advantage of our Scholarship Program.
What you Get
The Association provides four (4) to six (6) annual $1,000 scholarships and one $1250.00 Bill & Lou Curtis Memorial Scholarship to graduating high school seniors of Association members. The Nevada State Firefighters’ Association has granted over $100,000 worth of college scholarships since its inception more than ten years ago.
How Scholarships are Funded
Funding for the program is provided through the annual ticket sale and donations. Competitive ticket sales amongst departments promotes interest in the sales program and a revolving trophy provides tribute to the department which sells the most tickets.
